As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and talented individual to join our Tier 1 Technical Support team.
Role Overview:
As a Tier 1 Technical Support Engineer at Great Divide IT, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients seeking technical assistance. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and resolve a wide variety of IT-related issues. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies and collaborate with a skilled team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone and/or email and provide technical support with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues, escalating more complex problems to higher-tier support when necessary.
Assist clients in navigating their IT systems, addressing concerns, and guiding them through basic technical tasks.
Document all client interactions, technical solutions, and troubleshooting steps in our ticketing system.
Monitor client systems to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers to ensure seamless problem resolution and exceptional client satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to enhance your technical skills and provide informed assistance.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role, preferably in an MSP environment.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business applications.
Basic understanding of cyber security, networking concepts, hardware components, and software troubleshooting.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a commitment to client success.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
