The Opportunity
P&G is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead a team responsible for end-to-end engineering of an internal digital commerce solution.
This team is responsible for the full software development lifecycle to enable growth in digital commerce for our business.
The development of these digital capabilities are very critical for future success.
We are seeking a strong leader with critical thinking skills who can manage a very large scope in a dynamic environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need technical depth, understanding E2E software engineering lifecycle across architecture, design, and development with familiarity in modern architecture and delivery processes (TOGAF, Agile).
Position Responsibilities Lead and oversee software engineering teams for the development and operations of DCOM retailer solutions, with a current focus on Retail Search solutions across planning, execution, measurement, and optimization.
Define future architectures for DCOM retailer search solutions in the areas of application, data, and technology, aligning them with business goals and adhering to industry and corporate standards.
Develop a roadmap to achieve the future architecture.
Promote end-to-end Agile product development and DevOps methodologies for the software engineering process.
Leverage microservice architecture to create scalable, modular, and algorithmic software solutions that seamlessly integrate with corporate platforms and systems.
Manage the internal software engineering team, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and fostering professional development.
Also, oversee the activities of third-party vendors involved in software development.
Collaborate with DCOM product teams, DS, AIE and CDL teams, DE engineering horizontal teams, Cloud, IT Operations, InfoSec, and other relevant teams to ensure the successful delivery of product development initiatives.
Stay updated on emerging software engineering technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and enhance the organization's capabilities.
The Ideal Candidate Has a passion for leading teams developing business critical digital solutions.
Is meticulous and analytical in nature, with strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.
Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities and have a business and consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Job Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Software Engineering, other STEM field.
Extensive experience in software engineering and development, with a deep understanding of programming languages, frameworks, Cloud, and software architecture.
Proven track record of leading and managing software engineering teams, including recruiting, mentoring, and performance management.
Ability to align software engineering initiatives with business objectives.
Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects.
Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience with software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and ensuring high standards of software reliability and performance.
Pay Range: $150k - $207K
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skills, and level of experience.
At P&G compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
