Engineering Director Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking an Engineering Director to join our Regional Beef team.
Responsibilities: Project management: Sets project goals and direction. Develops capital project budgets. Ensures project compliance with Company strategic plan.Management/Supervision: Provides manpower, capacity, and resource planning. Directly or indirectly supervises technical personnel, including Company development technologists and engineers, engineering technicians, machinists, laboratory and intermediate supervisory staff.Product and Process Development: Provides general oversight for execution and completion of comprehensive design verification and process validation protocols.GMP/ISO/MDD: Interprets GMP, MDD, and ISO regulations into Company and product specific practices.Technical Documentation/Communication/Processes: Ensures product, process, and project documentation is complete, accurate, and sufficient to allow development and production team members to understand critical requirements. Assembles technology transfer documentation. Provides development engineering input to cross-functional product development teams.Safety: Implements and enforces Company safety policy.Training: Ensures adequate staff training and documentation thereof, in line with Company policies.Quality System Compliance: Ensures that the requirements of the Quality System, The Medical Device Directive (EU), the Quality System Regulation (US FDA), and other relevant standards are fulfilled by the Company's development engineering group.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline. Prefer Master's degree in related engineering discipline or professional engineering registration.8-10 years engineering experience in machinery fabrication industry, with 5 years at management level.Previous internal experience highly preferred.Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.Compensation and Benefits: Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;Base salary: range of $175,000 - $180,000;Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.We will accept applications for this position until 9/7/2024.
