The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has an immediate opening for a candidate with Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering background to work as a power plant engineering intern. Power plant engineering interns are key functions to support the reliable supply of electricity to the people of central Texas. There will be learning on the job, use of engineering principles, and great comradery with co-workers in a friendly and family-life supported atmosphere.
You will be trusted to:
- Under limited supervision of a licensed professional engineer, performs a variety of progressively responsible engineering assignments involving engineering principles.
- Contributes to engineering projects involving adaptations and modifications to Power Plant systems, equipment, materials and procedures.
- Contributes to tests and diagnosis and evaluation of equipment performance for power plants.
- Prepares reports, operating instructions and project outlines in connection with engineering assignments. Follows appropriate business procedures. Applies project management techniques.
