About the Role:
Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity to join their team remotely. This role plays a pivotal part in driving initiatives to streamline development processes, reducing time and effort while maintaining high-quality standards. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing a diverse, agile team focused on enhancing developer productivity for our client's platform.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage a diverse, remote-first, agile team to support iterative and incremental shipping.Prioritize initiatives to reduce overall development cycle time, leveraging quantitative and qualitative metrics to identify and eliminate bottlenecks.Ensure the team is equipped for success by staffing appropriately and facilitating growth and development opportunities.Regularly communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional peers in Product and Design to set goals and define objectives. Requirements: Minimum 2 years in a leadership role and 5 years as a Technical individual contributor.Proficiency in problem-solving and a willingness to work closely with the team.Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working autonomously.Extensive experience with software development best practices and system design.Familiarity with tools and frameworks supporting development workflows, testing frameworks, and continuous integration and deployment.Strong empathy and advocacy for improving developer experience.Ability to attract and retain top talent.
