Engineering Manager - Frontend About The Role:
We are looking for an Architect Frontend to lead rock star engineers for our application team and share our passion for building revolutionary user interfaces. Our goal is to redefine how business users visualize and analyze large data sets, making the UI a critical differentiator for our product. The challenge is to build a highly interactive app that delivers complex functionalities of a BI application in an intuitive and easy to understand fashion for business users. At the same time, the application should have lightning fast response times even when a large amount of data is pushed into it.
This is truly an opportunity to build and lead something from scratch that will be the first of its kind in the business intelligence market.
What You'll Do: Design, develop and unit test complex UI components using React library.Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code.Follow best practices, guidelines and blueprints for the team.Have technical ownership of one or more modules and work with the leads, managers and architects in the delivery.Strong problem solving, analytical, design, decision-making and communication skills.Create and maintain software documentation. What You'll Bring: At least 10+ years of front end engineering experience. Experience of leading a team is a big plus.Deep understanding of UI Design patterns and UI Architecture Paradigms.Proven track record of building complex web applications.Develop and maintain client-side SDKs using Vanilla JavaScript for integration with external applications.Collaborate with product managers and backend developers to define requirements and ensure seamless API integration.Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to enhance functionality and improve user experience.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.Provide technical support, mentor junior developers, and contribute to code reviews and process improvement.Strong foundation in frontend application technologies and best practices - Browser fundamentals, HTML5/CSS3/Javascript, Scalable Web Apps, SPA, HTTP, CDN, proxies, and caching.A passion for architecting solutions that make UI responsive, with an ability to identify, quantify, debug and remove performance bottlenecks.Deep understanding of commonly used frameworks and libraries such as Angular, React, Highcharts, D3.Exposure to infrastructure tools such as Nginx, Node or Grunt is a plus.Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.Bring amazing problem-solving skills and an ability to identify, quantify, debug, and remove bottlenecks and functional issues.
