Metal Building Industry ENGINEERING MANAGER In this role, you will not only work with one of the nation's largest producers of metal roofing and siding, but you will also have the opportunity to provide engineering and design support including mentoring EIT Engineers, driving strategic initiatives, and leading all drafting and design activities.
What you will get to do: Serve as the PEMB technical expert to internal and external customers Oversee how MBS is utilized and contribute to improvements affecting building design and costs Provide engineering review and stamping of projects Create technical documentation to be used to train and develop the capabilities of the organization Work to improve department engineering knowledge and capabilities for high complexity projects Work with operations to ensure designs are aligned with manufacturing standards Identify opportunities for automation, productivity enhancements, streamlining processes that will improve design quality, lower costs and improve customer service Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineering 10+ years of PEMB industry experience including at least 5+ years in engineering principles, construction methods and materials specific to PEMB construction 5+ years of experience using and customizing Metal Building Software (MBS); additionally proficient in CAD/CAM software and mechanical drafting 3+ years of experience in a direct supervisory role, preferably leading a team of designers in PEMB Licensed Professional Engineer (multiple states preferred) JobXSite, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
