Job Responsibilities: Evaluate and enhance engineering and application performance metrics for OEM and aftermarket business, ensuring standardization, clarity, and accurate measurement of organizational activity and customer fulfillment.
Lead the departments towards a focused structure, process, and performance metrics aligned with ISO procedures and work instructions, including systems utilization like Bluestar and Solidworks.
Develop North American Engineering & Applications metrics in collaboration with the management team and Sales & Service Leader to meet business requirements.
Oversee engineering cost estimation accuracy, adherence to cost estimates, on-time engineering commitments, design accuracy, absorbed engineering hours, warranty, and corrective actions.
Ensure proposal speed, accuracy, SPIN-based proposal development, and risk assessment for Applications.
Provide leadership to the management team by supporting goal-setting, ensuring a safe workplace, exercising good judgment, setting a positive example, and providing effective feedback and communication.
Lead organizational development through skills assessment, identifying team development requirements, and coordinating training and mentoring programs.
Optimize resource utilization and talent management to effectively meet customer requirements on time.
Develop strong interfaces with the supply chain organization to review engineering contributions, improve manufacturability, and resolve design-related issues.
Foster collaboration with the Sales and Service team to support application development, technical support, and proposal-to-order conversion rates.
Coordinate with the North American organization to develop solutions for the regional Parts formation and Parts Preparation businesses.
Engage in customer travel as required to develop and advance industry expertise.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of direct Engineering management experience (operational experience in the industry is a plus).
Strong computer skills in Excel, Access, Windows-based Office software, and 2D and 3D design software (Solidworks preferred).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Willing to collaborate with Global Product Groups and Centers for Product Innovation.
