Remitly seeks an Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and lead complex, long-term, cross-team engineering efforts.
Partner with product managers to understand requirements, translate these requirements into technical tasks, and ensure the engineering team delivers the expected outcome.
Set the technical vision for the Self Service Experience team in Customer Success Technology organization and partner with engineers of other teams to set a broader technical vision.
Plan and execute engineering objectives, including quarterly objective definition, resource allocation, and re-prioritization when necessary.
Mentor engineers across the company.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 7 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation of reliable, available, and scalable distributed systems.
Experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: leading technical teams in complex engineering projects; driving and building long-term technical strategy; mentoring engineers; working with ML teams to improve Machine Learning models; and Go, Java, Python, MySQL, Aurora DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and AWS Cloud APIs.
Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.
Job Location: Seattle, WA
Rate of Pay: $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
