Overview: As an Engineering Manager in our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes. Your role will involve managing projects, optimizing manufacturing methods, and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and other technical staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
* Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency through the application of engineering principles and methodologies.
* Project Management: Plan and execute engineering projects to support production goals, including the design and implementation of new equipment, processes, and technologies.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements by implementing rigorous quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that all engineering activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditure planning, cost control measures, and resource allocation.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, maintenance, and quality assurance, to identify and address manufacturing challenges and drive collaborative solutions.
* Supplier and Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to support production schedules.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and implementing best practices from industry benchmarks.
* Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of new developments in manufacturing technology, engineering methodologies, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
