To be considered for the Engineering Manager opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree in engineering preferred) 10 years of directly related experience with a minimum of two years of engineering leadership experience within the aerospace or defense industry. Experience planning and performing product verification and certification testing, including development of test requirements. Working knowledge of military technical specifications and documentation requirements. Experience working with and adhering to Aerospace and Defense regulation. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems and Strategy Experience with Counterfeit Parts Prevention Program (CPPP) requirements. Knowledge of government bids and proposals. As an Engineering Manager, you will: Review and process Government solicitations and related technical data packages for feasibility to build, design and test. Write test reports, deviation requests, and technical specifications for products. Implement Product Lifecycle Management Strategy for Engineering Department Develop Engineering department to become a Design Engineering Center of Excellence Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Improve engineering processes and procedures and ensure they are applied correctly. Lead engineering proposal development ensuring proper Engineering material and labor estimates for NRE. Review complex and legacy specifications and drawings. Pay attention to details and ensure compliance to technical requirements Develop detailed plans for new designs and products. Lead staff and delegate tasks to engineering and technical personnel. Conduct risk management. Present new business opportunities to potential customers. Manage parts obsolescence and develop mitigation plans. Write Request for Variance (RFV) when parts used in assemblies are changed.
