You will report to the Director of Engineering for Experience. The Revenue Engineering team at Pinecone is responsible for our usage based billing platform, inclusive of metering pipelines, vendor and marketplace integrations, discounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and the Dunning process.
Responsibilities: Delivering improvements that make our billing system more performant, resilient and accuratePlanning with product and finance teams to ensure the roadmap is aligned with our business goalsGrow a world class team of engineers and support them in doing the best work of their careerDevelop and improve processes that ensure consistent delivery against objectives and drive strong alignment across engineering, product and fieldEvolve the organizational structure to meet long term objectivesWhat we look for: 3+ years of experience leading teams of 5+ peopleExperience with usage based billingFamiliarity with distributed systemsRecruit world-class talent, and make sure they have the conditions to do their best workDrive clarity to ship complex projects in high impact areasDevelop a multi-year vision & strategy with incremental deliverablesEstablish high technical standards and processesGrowth mindset, courage and curiosity to stretch beyond your previous experiencesBig Bonus points: Strong familiarity with at least one compiled language such as Rust, Go, or JavaComprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health resources
