The engineers and dedicated Program Managers in the App Store continue to innovate the platform, now home to over 1.5 million apps — each created using the team's own software development kit and related services. All those apps mean the store takes billions of requests from more than 500 million visitors every week, across iOS, macOS, tvOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. To deliver such a rich experience at this scale, Engineering Program Managers partner with the engineers to enable the building of high-performance systems backed up by persistent systemwide A/B testing. Description This role will drive and deliver both App Store Legal & Regulatory projects as well as Trust & Safety development projects. As an Engineering Program Manager, you will work with our engineering, design, and product teams to build experiences that impact millions of users worldwide. We're looking for an individual with a proven track record of shipping complex customer-facing projects under demanding timelines. This role will drive App Store feature initiatives, working with a broad cross-functional team to plan, schedule, build, and ship the next wave of features supporting App Store customers and developers across Apple's platforms. The day-to-day will include project planning, execution, and risk assessments, in order to meet the overall program goals. You will foster collaboration across a broad team of cross-functional partners to drive scope assessment, schedule alignment, and issue resolution. You will also help to set the strategy and communicate status and issues to stakeholders at all levels along the way. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of program, project, or product management in software developmentExperience working on Trust and Safety or legal and regulatory initiativesPreferred Qualifications Experience with developer-focused products from kick-off to shipBuilt products by collaborating across product, engineering, legal, analytics, marketing, design, and other key stakeholdersStrong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings) with a positive and professional demeanor (you are upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented)Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilitiesThe ability to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plansA hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problemsRegulatory and/or Trust & Safety experienceA background in engineering, computer science, or a related technical fieldExperience formally leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, is highly valuedDemonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed product and project decisionsStrong communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to all levels of an organizationBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field or at least 5+ years of comparable experienceMBA or advanced degree is a plusAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
