To learn more visit: www.waabi.ai You will… - Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of autonomous hardware systems, including sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras), communication modules, and control systems. - Support the integration of new mechanical and electrical components into the vehicle. - Conduct pre-installation checks and prepare all components for vehicle mounting. - Work closely with engineers to conduct tests on autonomous systems in both bench and stationary environments. - Collect, analyze, and report data from various tests and validation activities. - Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the testing process. - Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of autonomous systems and mechanical parts in the truck. - Ensure that all electronic control systems, sensors, and power supply units are functioning properly. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (software engineers, mechanical engineers, safety specialists) to ensure effective integration of all systems. - Follow company and industry safety standards, ensuring that all work complies with OSHA regulations. - Ensure that testing environments and equipment are safe, secure, and functioning properly. - Assist in implementing safety protocols for working with autonomous vehicles and related equipment. Qualifications: - Associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. - 5+ years of hands-on experience as a technician, preferably in the automotive, robotics, marine, or aerospace industries. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other technical equipment. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. - ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus (IPC-620 certification is highly desirable) - Experience working with Class 8 trucks or heavy vehicles is highly desirable. - Familiarity with autonomous driving systems, sensors, and vehicle control modules is a plus. - Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others. - Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions. The US hourly salary range for this role is: $41-$65 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.'s hourly ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company's compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
