For Each 1 Reach 1 Mentoring Program Inc & Reach Academy in Brooksville, FL is looking for an English teacher to share their gift with our students. We are located on 7318 Sunshine Grove Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT The English Teacher should always operate with integrity, doing what is in the best interest of the school. They must develop, adapt, modify, and individualize educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students within the school's curriculum framework.
The English Teacher must bring a sophisticated understanding and ability to apply theories of and effective practices for student learning, growth, and development; differentiated instructional strategies; academic standards and accountability systems. They will serve as a general education classroom teacher, with classes that may be single or multi-grade level, subject, skill, or specialty oriented. This person must have strong classroom management skills and can teach 3rd-8th grade English.
The English Teacher should pay close attention to the students' learning styles and work with them to reach their full potential. The goal is to help cultivate the students' interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.
It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The English Teacher must be passionate about the assignment with the ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or higher in any subject area.Florida State Teachers Certification.Three or more years of teaching experience.Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualify you to provide instruction in the subject taught. Skills may be demonstrated by any documentation indicating that the Education Mentor (Teacher) has skills to teach that subject such as past work experience, certifications, programs completed, professional development, curriculum training, etc.Must pass background screening.Must pass evaluations.Solid understanding of teaching best practices.Excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills.A creative mindset and friendly demeanor.Well organized with excellent leadership abilities.Ability to make sound judgment, apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs and utilize multimedia and computer technology effectively.Proficient with most mainstream office software and computer skills.An ability to plan and implement lessons based on the school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups of students, peers, and parents.
