Job Description: Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for ensuring that AmeriCorps' overall IT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization's technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.

Our work depends on an Enterprise Architect joining our team to help AmeriCorps to facilitate volunteers and service organizations around the country by identifying, evaluating, and architecting new technology solutions, primarily Azure-based cloud and AI software initiatives.

HOW AN ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Serves as key technical expert in an area of expertise or across multiple areas, providing strategic consulting to AmeriCorpsWork with the infrastructure and architecture team to ensure that new technologies work with existing infrastructureIntroduce new and exciting technologies to a customer that is ready to implement changeFocus on maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure and information systems to both create and implement AmeriCorps' technology strategy and visionWork closely with the CyberSecurity Lead to secure the network and eliminate vulnerabilities WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Masters of Science preferred

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee's date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees. To ensure our employees are able to protect their income, other offerings such as short and long-term disability benefits, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available.
