Morgan Stanley can provide a superior foundation for building a professional career.Legal and Compliance Division Overview:The Legal and Compliance Division LCD includes Legal, Regulatory Relations, and Non-Financial Risk departments which preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures designed to meet regulatory requirements worldwide.Non-Financial Risk Department Overview:The second-line Non-Financial Risk NFR organization includes the Compliance, Global Financial Crimes, and Operational Risk departments and provides a single, comprehensive, and consistent second-line view of these non-financial risks. Non-Financial Risk encompasses risks which are not financial in nature, and could have a potential economic, reputational, regulatory, financial reporting, or client impact from i) failed or inadequate processes, data, or controls; ii) infrastructure or environmental factors; or iii) intentional or inadvertent actions of employees or external parties. The second-line NFR organization partners with the first-line business units to advise, train, manage, report, identify, analyze, and escalate non-financial risks.Enterprise Risk Programs Overview:The Enterprise Risk Programs Officer will assist in the management of the Non-Financial Risk Department's Risk Identification, Remediation and Planning Programs (Integrated Risk Approach (IntegRA), Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Lessons Learned Program, and Annual Planning). The Enterprise Risk Programs Officer will also be responsible for certain program governance activities, such as committee materials, agendas, and management.Responsibilities:Lessons Learned-Assist in the administration and management of the NFR Lessons Learned Program including coordinating with first and second-line LL teams/participants globally- Analyze external regulatory matters and internal incidents for potential lessons learned review- Provide input and challenge on lessons learned reviews, including scope, read across and remediation- Act as lead on certain lessons learned reviews- Oversee the production of monthly and quarterly NFR Lessons Learned Program reporting- Coordinate operations of the Lessons Learned-Conduct Risk working group- Participate in technology- and data-related initiativesRisk Identification / IntegRA- Play a key role in substantive monthly and quarterly risk analysis across NFR Risk Identification Programs, including review of management information on a global basis, produced across NFR organization and by other stakeholders Firmwide- Provide administrative support for the NFR Risk Identification Programs- Provide input and challenge on the formulation of departmental key focus areas and action plans- Liaise and coordinate with NFR management and coverage teams globally regarding specific issues- Provide substantive execution support with respect to certain action items identified through the IntegRA Program- Lead production of quarterly compliance risk identification analysis materials, including metrics, for presentation and discussion with NFR Senior Management- Participate in technology and data-related initiativesOther- Assist in responding to requests and reporting regarding both programs from other functions within the Firm or from regulators as necessary- Manage intake and assignment of Integrity Hotline reports as needed- Special projects as appropriateQualifications:- Relevant work experience in the financial services industry in Compliance or at a securities regulator or related fields- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently while collaborating and coordinating across a complex organization- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide viable solutions in a time-sensitive environment- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail and effective time management- Outstanding interpersonal skills and team-player attitude with the ability to build effective partnerships- Ability to multitask and manage team members on projects within a small-group environment- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel).- Bachelor's degree minimumExpected base pay rates for the role will be between 110000 and 190000 per year at the commencement of employment.
