Entrepreneurship Instructor

Throughout this optional, four-year experience, students will participate in both hands-on and virtual experiences. The program includes practical components addressing topics from personal finance to the economic and philanthropic responsibility attached to personal wealth. An integral concept to the student experience is learning the Design Thinking process. Students will repeatedly integrate their work with the discovery, empathy, ideation, and all aspects of the process. 
Teach Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses Moderate extra-curricular entrepreneurship club that meets outside of class time and is open to the entire student body Lead one to two student field trips to local businesses and incubators/entrepreneurship organizations Supervise Senior Capstone Independent Study entrepreneurial experience Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress Develop learning experiences around real-world problem-solving and the fundamental building blocks of entrepreneurship Work with Advisor to Student Led Investment Fund; analyzing current and potential investments of the Fund Commitment to teaching in a Catholic, Lasallian school Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, entrepreneurship, marketing, or a related field is preferred; Master's degree is also preferred Business experience work in the commercial sector is preferred Teaching or classroom experience preferred but not required Knowledge of student cognitive development and various learning styles. Significant knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship and/or Social Entrepreneurship Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and organization skills Desire to embrace innovation as a tool to teach, engage, and motivate students Significant technology acumen About St. John's College High School
