Position Description: We are looking for an Entry-Level Surveyor to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in land surveying and zero to six years of experience. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.
\n Typical responsibilities include: Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.Perform various survey calculations Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations Assist with the preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveysSearch legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information Assist with writing descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documentsAssist with monitoring equipment and survey supplies Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasksMonitor task budget and progressConduct on-site inspections as neededPrepare project status and other reportsAssist in the preparation of proposalsAssist Project ManagersAttend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. Attend seminars and/or training classesPerform other duties as assignedMaintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environment Education:Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying Skills/Experience:Zero to six years of experience in land surveying requiredField experience required
