Job Title: Environmental Associate Location: San Francisco, CA Overview: Our client is seeking an Environmental Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their highly regarded environmental practice. This role focuses on litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters at both federal and state levels, with a strong emphasis on California's environmental statutes. Key Responsibilities: Handle litigation and compliance matters related to environmental regulations. Navigate complex environmental statutes, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Collaborate on cases involving the California Energy Commission (CEC) and energy transition issues. Conduct thorough research, analyze legal issues, and draft high-quality legal documents. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding environmental matters. Qualifications: J.D. with at least three years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of California's environmental laws and regulations. Experience with CEQA and the CEC is highly desirable. Excellent research, analytical, writing, and communication skills. Must be licensed to practice law in California.
