As the Environmental Department Manager you will be responsible for managing the technical, operational, and financial aspects of the environmental practice line for Southeast region. This position oversees and directs environmental professionals responsible for drilling, sample/data collection, subcontractor tasks, evaluates data, and compiles written reports for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies.
\n Job Responsibilities:Assist department and project managers with environmental, health, and safety projects, including consulting with clients regarding technical issues, preparing proposals and requests for proposals/qualifications as needed, and writing reportsMay review and sign reports prepared by staff membersAbility and willingness to help mentor and provide guidance to other EH&S within the manager's regionPromotes business development in various marketsTroubleshoots potential problems or areas of concern; helps branch with determining solutionsManages environmental projects including soil/groundwater monitoring and remediation, coordinates internally and with the client, and writes reportsManages environmental projects, coordinates internally and with client prepares proposals as needed, and writes reportsConducts Phase I/II/III Environmental Site AssessmentsAnalyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project Prepares cost estimates, proposals, and invoicesMeets project budgets and schedulesServe as a mentor and technical adviserSenior Reviewer for reports and deliverables Other duties may be assigned Qualifications:Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordBachelor's degree (B.S.) in a field related to the natural sciences or engineering (such as Biology, Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Occupational Safety) from 4- year college or universityQualifications that meet ASTM & OSHA standards for EHS Professionals performing technical work assignments under our service offering5-10 years' EHS industry experienceMay be required to travel for overnight stays in order to assist offices within the region to perform projects or participate in client development activities
