Job Title:Environmental/Groundwater Project Manager
Location(s): Westminster, CO (hybrid, 50% in the office and 50% from home)
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $100,000 - $126,000/yr.
The offered salary may be more depending upon additional education, training, and experience of the selected applicant.
Clearance and Health Requirements: Criminal Background Check Pre-placement Drug Screening Fit for Duty Test (if applicable) RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting an Environmental/Groundwater Project Manager to support environmental groundwater projects for the DOE-LM contract.
The main task for the Project Manager will be to manage a portfolio of projects with the objective of developing groundwater compliance strategies for DOE-LM UMTRCA Title I sites where former uranium mills operated in the 1950s and 1960s.
The sites are located throughout the southwest four-corners region.
As part this effort, the Project Manager will plan and manage projects and teams, consisting of professionals of various disciplines, through different project phases including scoping, work planning, field characterization, remedial alternatives analysis, and compliance strategy development.
Planning and managing also includes preparing statements of work for subcontractors and conducting readiness review and integrated work control process meetings to support field projects.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for technical quality, client relationships, schedules, budgets, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager will be assigned to the Groundwater and Geochemistry Group (GGG).
The GGG embraces innovation and cutting-edge methodologies and technologies leading to the GGG becoming industry leaders in 3-D visualization and evaluation, geochemical assessment, and groundwater flow and reactive transport modeling.
Staff development is a GGG priority and is accomplished through mentoring and increasingly challenging technical assignments; conference attendance and journal publications are encouraged.

This position is required to be in the field up to 10% of the time.
Primary responsibilities and essential functions: Manage the technical and administrative aspects of environmental projects under UMTRCA, CERCLA, RCRA and/or state regulatory programs.
Responsible for technical quality, client relationships, schedules, budgets, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead scoping, project and lifecycle planning, execution, and closure of projects.
Management of the investigation/characterization, remedial alternatives evaluations, design, remedy implementation/construction, operations, and maintenance and/or long-term monitoring phases of the regulatory program processes.
Direct, manage, and lead project teams to meet project objectives in-line with company and customer quality expectations, and project scope, schedule, budget requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management.
Effectively identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation approaches and strategies.
Track work progress relative to project schedules and budgets and actively manage project performance metrics.
Supervise and provide work assignments to the project team.
Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review reports.
Plan and execute own work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines.
Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions.
Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals.
Develop and mentor staff.
Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in the area of practice.
Motivate and encourage others and help the team achieve success.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed: Minimum of 2 years of experience managing investigation and remediation projects under UMTRCA, CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action and/or state regulatory programs.
Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team setting and individually.
Strong self-motivation and initiative.
Experience with the following environmental practice areas: o Remedial systems
o Groundwater and source characterization techniques
o Screening levels and the risk assessment process Understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
Knowledge of fundamental hydrogeologic principles and concepts.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in the GGG culture.
Be open to learning and accepting feedback.
Writing and presentation skills required.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required: Valid driver's license Microsoft Office Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or Project Management Professional (PM) or eligibility to obtain registration within 1 year.
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing projects for federal clients.
Experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
Required Education and Years of Experience:
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience or Master's Degree and 5 years of experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The employee exerts up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Able to travel on uneven ground for several miles (2-4 miles) per day under a variety of adverse weather conditions.
Much of the traveling is up and down hills.
Able to work in hot, cold, windy, and sometimes wet conditions.
Able to work alone for several hours per day in the field.
Able to be on their feet wearing steel-toed boots for long periods of time.
The employee is frequently required to move about and maintain various positions.
The employee must have the ability to perceive the environment and observe technical material and emails.
