We are currently seeking a highly motivated Environmental Project Director/Project Manager - Major Portfolio Delivery, who is an accomplished technical lead to join our team in Houston, TX.
The right candidate will provide technical leadership in our contamination investigation and remediation group.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Project Oversight and Quality Assurance
•Verify timely delivery, HSE compliance, profitability, and adherence to high-quality standards for all programs and projects.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality benchmarks, conducting regular audits and promoting continuous improvement. Strategic Decision-Making and Change Management
•Hold decision-making authority to ensure strategic alignment for change orders, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
•Regularly review and adapt strategies to market and organizational changes. Workforce Management and Continuous Learning
•Oversee workforce planning, aligning staffing levels and skills with project requirements and organizational goals.
•Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within teams. Communication, Reporting, and Financial Oversight
•Establish routine cadence with program leads for progress discussions, financial performance, staffing needs, and other project aspects.
•Provide regular updates to the Leadership Team and stakeholders on the current status and future pipeline, highlighting challenges and achievements.
•Monitor budgets, forecasts, and use of project management tools and technology platforms. Risk and Performance Management
•Integrate proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies across the portfolio.
•Continuously assess and update KPIs to ensure they remain relevant to the portfolio objectives.
•Work closely with dedicated staff from Finance (PSAs) and with the Portfolio Admin to ensure precise financial and non-financial tracking and control. Portfolio Management and Strategic Guidance
•Advocate for the CLIENT Portfolio within the Leadership Team and ensure interdepartmental collaboration with Finance, HR, etc.
•Align key decisions within the portfolio with overall strategic plans and provide program leads with insights and strategic direction.
What you will bring to the team: 15+ years of experience in the environmental market with a strong record of developing and implementing projects within the industry Bachelor degree in a science-or engineering related field A Master's degree in a science-or engineering related field or MBA is desirable PMP or PfMP is desirable Proven experience in establishing and building relationships within all levels of client and portfolio management Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, environment Demonstrated outstanding communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills Solid organizational skills with the proven ability to lead multiple priorities at a time Ability to take initiative and work independently Self-sufficient in current office applications (eg MS Office)
