Quandary Consultants LLC (Quandary) is looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our growing team of diverse professionals. We provide environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, air quality, remediation, weed management, stormwater management, and other environmental services to clients throughout the country. Responsibilities: Perform soil and groundwater sampling for remediation programs Independently and collaboratively conduct fieldwork in remote and urban locations, including active construction sitesTravel for short-term and long-term assignments when required by clientCollect detailed, accurate, scientific field data Assist with creation of client deliverables including written reports and maps Collect baseline water quality samples, write client reports, and submit agency filingsLog soil borings and oversee the installation of groundwater monitoring wells Conduct stormwater BMP inspectionsInterpret and manage spatial data using ESRI products, Google Earth, or similar platformsActively participate in safety programs and support a safe work culture Key Skills/Abilities:Scientific and/or technical writing experienceExperience collecting soil and groundwater samplesUnderstanding and interpretation of soil and water quality laboratory dataFederal, State, and local regulatory knowledge Ability to travel to remote locations alone with minimal supervisionInterpret and mange spatial data using ESRI suite of products, Google Earth, and similar platformsStrong problem-solving skillsEnjoy working with a diverse teamKeen attention to detailAbility to lift 40-50 poundsTeachable, fast learning, and willing to learn new skill setsWilling to attend environmental training courses when applicableValid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related filed3-10 years of consulting experience40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferredCPR/AED certification preferred Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsWorking outdoors, often in inclement weather conditionsStanding for long periods of timeProlonged sittingWalking long distanceRepetitive tasks that are physically demandingTravel (up to 20%) with occasional overnight stay Expected Salary: $55,000-$75,000 DOE Job Type: Full-time Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday (40-50 hours per week), hours dictated by client needs Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily , required Benefits:Health Insurance (Medical, vision, dental)FSA and HSA optionsShort Term and Long Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Life InsurancePaid time offPaid Holidays401(k) matching If you have these skills and an environmental background and are interested in working for a dynamic environmental services company, we look forward to hearing from you.
