Full job description JOB SUMMARY – ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN/SCIENTIST: At Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc. Environmental Professionals in this role will support the organization through the review and execution of new and existing technical projects to achieve overall client goals . This position requires a candidate who has a high degree of self-direction, can positively impact the business as both a team member and professional, is comfortable wearing multiple hats in an entrepreneurial environment, and who showcases a relentless desire to champion our clients and their needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of gas extraction systems;
Extraction wellfield balancing and monitoring;
Surface Emissions Monitoring (SEM);
Various field data collection, analysis, and reporting;
Regulatory compliance, monitoring, reporting, and permitting support;
Regulatory file review and research;
Safety and environmental program compliance;
Groundwater, surface water, methane, and stormwater sampling;
Assistance with monitoring well installation and development;
Post closure care site inspections;
Data calculations, cost estimates, and plan and specification review; and
Client interaction when performing job duties.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate should have 0-4 years of experience with a minimum of a two-year environmental science degree or related field from an accredited college or university. Candidate should be able to function effectively both independently and on teams, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be deadline driven. Candidate should be proficient in MS Office Suite of programs. Mechanical aptitude desired.
This position requires fieldwork and variable overnight travel (ranging from 50 to 100 percent during work weekdays depending on project needs), so enjoying outdoor work is a must. Candidate must have a clean driving record and drug screening, be capable of performing physically demanding work, that may include walking over uneven terrain for extended periods and demonstrate a positive work ethic. Successful candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and desire to continue learning as well as mentor others. He or she will also strive to provide quality service, be conscientious and responsive.
