Job Description: The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to support the healthcare system and medical mission at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. This role involves the use of hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform cleaning tasks in various areas of the medical center.
Utilize hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment to ensure a sanitary environment.
Support the healthcare systems mission by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks within the designated timeframe.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients staff and visitors.
Qualifications: Prior experience in environmental services or a related field is preferred.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including standing bending and lifting
