Description:

Summary Perform a variety of services to maintain cleanliness of the environment.
Key activities include cleaning public restrooms, assigned patient rooms and trash removal using standard precautions.
Depending on the assigned unit, remove biohazard waste on patient floors, syringe needles boxes.
Maintain offices in a clean, hygienic manner, including dusting and vacuuming.

Key Responsibilities Office areas are cleaned in accordance with department standards.
Patient rooms are cleaned daily and upon discharge in accordance with department standards.
Productivity standards are met.
Equipment is prepared, cleaned and stored per department guidelines.
Auxiliary areas are monitored and cleaned (e.g.
nurses station, therapy station, dining rooms, locker rooms, public bathrooms, medical rooms) per established guidelines.
Elevator service is prioritized to accommodate patients per established guidelines.
Clean linen is delivered and soiled linen is collected in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Specialty mattresses and associated equipment are delivered and maintained per department guidelines.
Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.

Additional Responsibilities for Advanced Environmental Services Associate Powered equipment is used for both floor care and carpet care projects in accordance with equipment and department standards.
Bio-hazardous and hazardous waste is transported according to regulatory standards.
Grounds and garage are maintained according to departmental standards.
Conference room and meeting setups are done according to departmental standards.
Assistance in training or over-site of staff is provided as requested.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience Education/Degree Required Computer proficiency required.
Microsoft Office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.

Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g.
computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)
Required Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
Must be able to use and maintain necessary equipment such as vacuums.
Must be able to learn and follow cleaning procedures.
Computer proficiency required.
Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
Advanced Environmental Services Associate maintains Department of Transportation certification.
Preferred Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery.
Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
Attention to detail.
