Job Summary The EPMO Project Manager- Product will lead cross-functional teams in the development of new products and enhancements to existing products. This role encompasses managing the entire life cycle, from initial planning and coordination to execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met for successful product launches. The Project Manager will also provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, business owners and leadership.
The ideal candidate will possess project management expertise, in-depth knowledge of product development, excellent problem-solving skills and leadership skills. They must be adept at tailoring methodologies to suit the unique requirements of each project, the team's strengths, organizational culture, and stakeholder expectation.
Essential Job Functions Project Planning and ManagementDefine project scope and objectives in alignment with stakeholder needs and company goals.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation strategies.Identify potential project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.Oversee projects from initial intake through all required stages, ensuring successful delivery and closure.Team Coordination and LeadershipLead cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineering, Sourcing, Channel Marketing, Brand Management, Creative Marketing, Sales, Supply and Inventory Management, and DC Operations.Facilitate project meetings, track progress, address issues, ensure alignment, and effective communication among all stakeholders.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and productivity.Product DevelopmentCollaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, and Sourcing teams throughout the entire product development process to ensure product designs and specifications meet quality and regulatory standards.Coordinate prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure product readiness.Ensure that quality issues are promptly addressed and resolved by the appropriate teams.Budget and Resource ManagementEnsure that projects are executed within the established budgets.Monitor project expenditures, providing regular financial updates to leadership.Ensure resources allocated effectively to maximize team productivity and project efficiency.Initiative-taking: Identify potential risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them, partnering with stakeholders and leadership teams to navigate challenges.Analytical: Assess the impact of risks and make informed recommendations to minimize project disruptions.Reporting and DocumentationMaintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and specifications.Prepare and present project reports and presentations to key stakeholders and leadership.Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Management, Product Design, or a related field.3 – 5 years of proven experience in product development and project management.PMP or Project Management Certification is a plus.Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization.Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall.Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Project Management: Capable independently organizing, leading, and executing multiple projects from start to finish. Capable of maintaining thorough documentation to support projects activities.Time Management: Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Able to prioritize tasks effectively, focusing on the most critical aspects of the project to ensure all milestones are met on time without compromising quality.Customer Focus: Dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of stakeholders, team members, and customers.
