People who'll bring new perspectives, solve tough problems, and thrive as part of a team. If that's you and this role fits, we want to hear from you.Join the power movement as an Equipment Architecture Senior ManagerCommonwealth Fusion HR LLC seeks a full time Equipment Architecture Senior Manager at our offices located at 117 Hospital Road, Devens, MA 01434; and 10 Tyler Street, Somerville, MA 02143.Responsible for leading the team of engineers setting the standards for production equipment and business system architecture for CFS' current and future manufacturing factories.Specific duties include:Hire, manage, and mentor a diverse team of engineers to create and maintain the requirements and industrial standards for production equipment;Develop and implement the SCADA system for equipment communication and control;Develop the production team's wiring and control standards and maintain the controls libraries;Own the deployment, improvement, and maintenance of the company's MES (Manufacturing Execution System) including setting standards for work instructions and mBOMs;Ensure that all equipment installations, commissioning, and operations comply with safety regulations and company standards;Support the production team with design, scoping, and procurement of equipment;Manage and collaborate with external contractors for equipment installation and commissioning;Organize project milestones and schedule to meet strategic targets;Communicate project status, risks, and resource requirements to the team & leadership;Create standards and templates for equipment operating manuals and troubleshooting guides for sustaining production use;Develop and run training programs for key equipment engineering skillsets; andPerform regular 1:1s and annual check-ins for employees' performance.Position Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering field, plus five years of experience in a mechanical or controls engineering role working on complex mechanical systems. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include each of the following:5 years of experience troubleshooting and improving production electro-mechanical systems;5 years of experience with large-scale manufacturing line design, construction, and commissioning;5 years of experience working with fabrication shops and external vendors;5 years of experience with developing and deploying control system architecture;5 years of experience with implementing Electrical Standards (NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A) and Safety standards (ANSI/ RIA15.06, OSHA);5 years of experience with CAD modeling and drafting, including working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing;5 years of experience reviewing engineering designs and ensuring adherence to company design and development guidelines and Standard Operating procedures;5 years of experience with Industrial manufacturing equipment design and Industrial Control and Automation best practices5 years of experience with Bill of Materials, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies; and1 year of experience in people management and engineering leadership role;Position requires domestic travel to visit vendors, perform factory acceptance tests and equipment buy offs (20%).*Position is eligible for Employee Referral Program.Salary: $195,000/year.At CFS, we excel in fast-paced environments, driven by our values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
