Job summary
Montgomery Parks Facilities Management Division is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator.The division is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Department's physical assets.The position requires experience with heavy equipment and completing major projects.

Responsibilities
• Ensure safety of work area and sites.• Operate heavy and light equipment for construction and maintenance work.• Inspect and report on equipment and vehicle needs.• Direct work of equipment operators and monitor progress.• Meet with vendors to plan work and obtain quotes.• Read and interpret blueprints, grade elevations, and construction documents.• Estimate materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily assignments.• Perform general labor and administrative tasks.• Utilize specific personal protection equipment and ensure safeguards are in place.• Perform critical ADA work to remove barriers and maintain compliance.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.• Three years of equipment operation, including one year with heavy equipment.• Possess a Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.• Successfully pass Commission medical examination.
