ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Escrow Transaction Relationship Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of deals from mandate stage,
through to maturity.
These include Escrow, Depository, and various permutations of agency appointments, whereby
assets are ring-fenced in support of commercial and capital market arrangements.
This is a client facing position which
serves as an intermediary between clients and the business.
Working with clients, their advisors and other market
participants, alongside internal stakeholders (legal, business, risk, compliance), the individual will close deals and
ensure that matters which arise during the deal lifecycle are addressed and decisioned.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1.
The Transaction Relationship Manager will own a portfolio of deals from mandate stage through to maturity.
2.
Responsible for delivering product and service expertise that enables speed in opening accounts, product control
and relationship building with market participants that leads to repeat business over time.
3.
Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Escrow and Agency deals.
4.
Negotiate commercial and capital market transactions from the perspective of an agent.
Manage negotiation of
documents following an in-house playbook, with requirements from legal, business, operations, risk and
compliance, to maintain OFB standards.
5.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made between clients.
Demonstrate particular
consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the Bank, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance
with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding conduct
and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
6.
Apply a solid understanding of banking policies, money movement and downstream impacts on client deals, along
with operational effects, and how these are reflected in documentation.
7.
Interpret documents with a flexible mindset and manage a broad range of queries from deal participants, with a
logical approach to problem solving, across multiple work streams.
8.
Utilize a collaborative approach to stakeholder management to better understand business concerns and know
how to relay these to the clients; escalate promptly when required.
9.
Support the business by improving processes and procedures and working on ad-hoc projects required by the
business.
10.
Collaborate and act as SME with commercial lenders, branch managers and business development officers in
skills necessary to improve customer calling techniques.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
•Demonstrated ability to review and make recommendations on transaction legal documentation and liaise with
legal counsel.
•Exceptional sales and relationship management skills, maintaining client-focus.
•Expert Banking knowledge, including in-depth working knowledge of the Payments and Escrow businesses, and
money movement in financial systems.
•Understanding of risk management and effective controls for mitigating risk.
•Highly collaborative, with proven competency in working effectively with peer level and Senior Management to
problem solve and foster business solutions.
•Proven ability to handle multiple transactions/matters simultaneously and priorities accordingly.
•Excellent written, oral, and adaptive communication skills to respond to broad audiences.

•Effective time management skills to cover a potentially broad territory, requiring travel.
•Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelors degree in Business or Legal related disciplines or equivalent work experience.
•7+ years of Commercial Escrow experience; in a financial institution is preferred.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
•Frequent and continual divisional and interdivisional contacts at all levels.
•Extensive external contacts with regarding the Bank's systems and services partners.
•Internal customer contact in response to inquiries or service issues.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office environment.
Ability to operate a computer.
Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex
information with individuals and groups.
Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint.
