About Bunker Hill
The Bunker Hill Mine is one of the most storied base metal and silver mines in American history. Initial discovery and development of the property began in 1885, and from that time until the mine closed in 1991 total production from the mine totaled 42.77 million tons at an average grade of 8.43% lead, 3.52 ounces silver per ton and 4.52% zinc. Through its history the area encompassing the Bunker Hill mine accounts for nearly 42% of the total lead, 41% of the total zinc and 15% of the total silver production in the Coeur d'Alene Mining District. Over this long, 95+ year history, more than 40 separate mineralized zones were exploited, producing 35 million tons of ore concentrate, including a total of 165 Moz of silver. Position Overview:
Bunker Hill Mining is seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESG/Environmental Manager to join our team. This role is integral to our commitment to environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and sustainable practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, regulatory compliance, and data management, with proven expertise in managing complex environmental programs and projects.
Essential Functions
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with a wide range of environmental regulations and standards, including local, state, and federal requirements.
Manage environmental programs to mitigate gaps in compliance and follow up to ensure non-compliance issues are corrected in a timely manner.
Coordinate internal audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory environmental requirements, provide recommendations for improvement.
Lead environmental incident investigations, prepare investigation reports with findings and provide recommendations for preventing future incidents.
Oversee the permitting process for various environmental projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs to address evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Program Development and Management
Develop and maintain a robust Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) program, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Lead the optimization of sampling programs, ensuring accuracy and reliability of environmental monitoring data.
Manage collection and tracking of monthly and bi-weekly air and water samples from locations approved by the General Manager.
Manage the submission, tracking and reporting of environmental sampling to analytical labs.
Develop and manage a site waste management program that maximizes recycling throughput and minimizes environmental impacts from landfill use.
Manage the environmental content in the ESG section of the Bunker Hill Mining Corp website and ensure the data is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Develop and manage an SDS database.
Provide support to management in budget creation as needed.

Data Management and Analysis
Develop and maintain an Environmental Performance Dashboard to accurately display the Company's goals and standards.
Create a section of the dashboard to be shared on the Company's website Ensure data is accurate and updated monthly
Efficiently manage and analyze environmental data, supporting strategic decision-making and environmental management initiatives.

Monitor and track greenhouse gas emissions, implementing measures to mitigate environmental impact and advance sustainability towards net-zero carbon emissions.
Evaluate environmental data to design and implement environmental management activities, produce data analysis of trends and impact and communicate findings to management.

Collaboration and Project Management
Coordinate environmental research contractors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory compliance.
Formulate and propose innovative environmental studies in partnership with local universities, driving continuous improvement and sustainability efforts.
Partner with all departments to educate employees, contractors and visitors on environmental compliance, standards and provide training as needed.

Communication
Effectively communicate research findings and regulatory updates to diverse professional audiences, enhancing compliance awareness and promoting industry best practices.
Develop and maintain open lines of communication with relevant agencies.
Prepare monthly reports and communicate the status of all environmental program activities to management.

Education & Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
Knowledge of MSHA, Environmental, Safety, State and Federal regulations as they apply to the essential responsibilities of the position.
Experience and/or training in the mining industry. Demonstrated knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Certifications in environmental compliance or related areas.
Experience with SPCC, RCRA, and other regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with environmental monitoring technologies and data analysis tools.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects, with a focus on process improvement and maximizing efficiency.
This position requires the ability to regularly walk over uneven, sloped, rocky, wet or icy ground and the ability to lift 25 or more pounds consistently and safely.
