Job Summary: The job of the Estimator is to work with customers and the sales team to review and provide quotes based on customer requirements. This person will be responsible for CNC and/or Sheet Metal estimating. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Identify labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents Compute costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data Complete required GD&T training Complete blueprint reading training Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to be a stickler for detail, while working quickly to address customer issues. Experience utilizing a computerized sales system preferred (SalesForce /CRM is a plus). Ability to clearly communicate customer expectations (requests) into a request for quote (RFQ).
