Job Summary: The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from bid to completion, combining cost estimation with effective project management to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. This role will conduct accurate cost assessments, develop comprehensive proposals, manage project schedules, coordinate with owners, subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Estimation and Proposal Development Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Prepare detailed proposals and bids, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to gather competitive pricing. Conduct quantity take-offs and review project scope to ensure alignment with cost estimates. Maintain a database of costs and pricing information to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency. Project Planning and Scheduling Develop project schedules with milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficient resource allocation. Identify project phases and critical tasks to establish realistic timeframes and track progress. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to clarify project requirements and ensure schedule alignment. Resource Coordination and Site Management Select and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure project requirements are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress, ensuring adherence to project plans and standards. Proactively address any on-site issues, coordinating with team members to implement timely solutions. Budgeting and Financial Management Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to maintain profitability and prevent cost overruns. Approve project expenditures and handle invoicing, change orders, and vendor payments. Track costs and perform budget reviews to ensure accurate financial reporting. Risk Management and Compliance Identify and mitigate risks related to budget, schedule, quality, and safety. Ensure adherence to all building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with Safety Department for enforcing compliance with safety protocols for a secure job site. Client and Stakeholder Communication Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional manner. Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals and expectations. Foster positive relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure project satisfaction and future opportunities. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Estimator or Project Manager, preferably in commercial or industrial construction. Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other related certifications are advantageous. Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
