Meyer Contracting Inc, is seeking qualified applicants for a Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager to join our team.
Team Meyer is a Highway/Heavy contractor based out of Maple Grove, MN who performs Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Demolition, Concrete Structures and Foundations operations primarily in the greater Midwest area.We look forward to welcoming a talented Estimator/Project Manager to our team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Obtain plans for bidding Determine scope of work Identify and contact potential subcontractors Accurately estimate the cost of the bid Prepare the bid for submission Lead external and internal Pre-Con meetings Produce and regularly update project schedules Identify and negotiate change orders with clients and engineers Communicate with Project Accountant to create project budget, produce subcontract and purchase orders, monthly billings and project close-out Monthly reporting of anticipated change order and projected costs to create accurate profitability forecasts Cultivate new client relationships and maximize current client relationships Prioritization of daily activities while working towards strategic goals Job Qualifications:2 years minimum Project Management experience Ability to accurately read and interpret plans/blueprints Creative problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detailed and organized Post-secondary education in construction or engineering related disciplines a plus Experience in Construction software a plus: We use Bluebeam, Agtek, Civil 3D, HCSS (HeavyBid & HeavyJob), MS Project What We Offer:
