Position Overview
To assist with business development and project planning, the estimator will be in charge of creating precise and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor and material expenses.

Key Responsibilities
Project Review & Analysis: Examine project plans, specifications, and documents to understand requirements, scope, and challenges.
Analyze drawings to identify material, equipment, and labor needs, assessing complexity and risks.
Quantity Takeoff & Cost Estimation: Measure and quantify materials, equipment, and labor from drawings.
Research costs, bids, and labor rates to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing proposals using estimating software.
Bid Preparation & Submission: Compile bid packages with cost estimates and proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and submit bids, participating in negotiations as needed.
Client Communication: Serve as the main contact for clients during bidding and project management, addressing inquiries and negotiating terms to build trust and satisfaction.
Cost Analysis & Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis and value engineering, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized documentation of cost estimates and bid proposals.
Prepare reports for management review and decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in steel estimatingStrong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Tekla, or similar).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
