Etl Data Engineer

Role: ETL Data Engineer Plano, TX (Day1 Onsite) Job Description: Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy Utilize domain driven data modeling methodologies to design and build robust data architectures Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models Design, develop, test and implement ETL/ELT data movement jobs based on business requirements Work with a wide range of cross functional stakeholders to derive requirements and architect shared datasets; ability to document, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audiences. Implement, maintain and extend best practices in line with market standards and guidelines Hands on experience developing DDL/DML scripts. Exhibit excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Proficient in RDBMS (preferably Postgres) and NoSQL technologies. Experience in implementing algorithms and analytics. Familiarity with API Development. Knowledge of AWS Technologies Good to have some understanding of Finance industry. Experience with real time data streaming using Kafka Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions Excellent analytic skills associated with working on structured & unstructured datasets Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata Document the Data Model and the dependencies in Confluence Prepare Data Dictionary
