Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
3-day weekends Friday - Sunday

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work.
Operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of City water, wastewater, streets and City's drainage system.
Pours, spreads, and levels concrete; sets forms, ties steel, wrecks form, backfills, lays sod, uses various finishing tools, etc.
Work is performed with moderate supervision.
This position works on Capital Improvement Projects funded with bond proceeds.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from High School or GED and three (3) years of general maintenance experience relating to construction, maintenance and repair of streets and drainage, as well as at least one year of experience in a skilled labor field such as asphalt paving, concrete forming, set up and finishing.
Other Requirements
Valid driver's license required.
Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement is preferred or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment and ability to maintain city driving standards in accordance with the driver standards as established by the City of Rowlett.
CDL is required for Concrete Truck Driver position.
Must reside within a 1-hour response time from the Public Works Building, employee will have (6) months from employment date in which to relocate.
May be required to be on-call and work nights, evenings and weekends.
