The Executive Chef will be the creative force behind all culinary operations at Viceroy Snowmass. You will oversee the entire kitchen team, collaborate with senior leadership, and craft menus that delight guests and set new industry standards. This role requires a visionary leader with a passion for high-end cuisine, the ability to manage large-scale operations, and a proven track record of innovation in fine dining.

Duties Include: Oversee all aspects of culinary operations, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation for the hotel's restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining. Develop innovative, seasonally inspired menus that highlight local ingredients and global trends. Lead and mentor a talented kitchen team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and creativity. Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Collaborate with other hotel departments, including Events and Food & Beverage, to provide exceptional culinary experiences for special events and banquets. Manage budgetary responsibilities, including food costs, labor, and inventory control, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining quality. Establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to source the finest ingredients. Stay current with industry trends and implement best practices to ensure our hotel remains a culinary destination. Drive guest satisfaction by engaging with guests, soliciting feedback, and continuously improving offerings. Location Viceroy Snowmass - Snowmass Village, CO

Employment Type: Full Time Year Round

Schedule: Flexible schedule, some nights, weekends and holidays required

Pay Rate: $130k to $165k Annually

Minimum Requirements Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of culinary experience, with at least 5 years in an Executive Chef role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant. Proven expertise in managing large teams and complex kitchen operations. Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with other hotel departments. Exceptional creativity and passion for food, with an understanding of international cuisines and modern culinary techniques. In-depth knowledge of food safety, health standards, and kitchen equipment. Ability to manage financials, including budgeting, food costs, and inventory control. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is required; additional certifications in food safety or management are a plus. Seasonal resort experience is a plus.
