The CWS team is made up of full turnkey services offered to the wireless industry. These services range from Site acquisition, Structural Engineering, A&E, Construction, asset management and long-term maintenance of the wireless infrastructure. CWS has a leadership team with 100s of years of experience and have deployed its industry leading proprietary software solutions as well as deploying its patented solutions. CWS software proprietary software solutions have been set as the requirement for two national network providers and the use of these tools on over 60,000 sites has been shown to provide analytical data to support clients in reducing their cycle times to market, ensuring compliance with code and industry standards, all while achieving substantial cost savings. Your New Job The Position : We are seeking a seasoned structural engineering leader that can assume the role of Executive Director of Engineering for the CWS group. This role will involve working directly with the current VP of Engineering for CWS Group. The individual must have an extensive background in the wireless industry and at a minimum shall be competent in the application of the ANSI/TIA, IBC, AISC, ASCE standards and codes. The Executive Director role will require that the CWS engineering team is supported and mentored for their growth as well as the growth of the organization. Support of the CWS customers and clients is a essential function of this role.
This position will also require the support of patented solutions as well as the maintenance and support of the proprietary software. In this role the Executive Director of Engineering will provide support, insight, and guidance as the continual enhancement of the solutions and software continues. Finally this role will require effective risk management solutions working with the entire organization and its key clients.
Job Responsibilities: Shadow and support the Vice President of Engineering. Engage directly with key customers and clients. Engage directly with the production staff and support their needs providing direction and engineering insights. Work to support the executive leadership team with responses to the customer an client needs. Demonstrate and protect the integrity that CWS is known for. Support the management of the cost controls and maintain the profitability of the engineering teams. Visit key trade shows, customers and clients. Ensure that the engineering teams are properly applying the code and communicating the impacts to the project management teams. Key Requirements : Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Minimum of 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Have participated in and aided in the development of the ANSI/TIA standards. Have a proven history of managing large scale engineering responsibilities covering 1000s of telecommunications sites. Have existing relationships with Carriers, tower Cos, and other telecommunications entities. Have a history of addressing issues at the jurisdictional level. Be a team player and a leader that invests in the team. Adapt to an ever-changing business environment as the needs of the customers and clients evolve. Proven communication skills.
