JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for the overall leadership, management and financial profitability of the Atlanta pharmacy location. Implements policies and procedures and oversees the performance improvement process. Provides detailed reports of financial profitability. Oversees budget preparation. Supports Pharmacy Manager in day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. Enhances customer service and company growth objectives through the development and maintenance of long-term customer relationships. Collaborates with Vice President, Directors, and Clinical Managers to coordinate and implement clinical activities within the pharmacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implements employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer- employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
2. Keeps supervisor informed of daily activities and issues. Proposes solutions to all issues.
3. Must get along with co-workers; maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees and the general public.
4. Must have timely regular attendance.
5. Follows all company policies and procedures, state and federal law and regulations and charged with reporting violations to the appropriate supervisor.

7. Maintains confidentiality of company information.

11. Implements and enforces policies and procedures promoting cost-effective, appropriate and safe medication use.
12. Oversees administration of competence assessments for all pharmacy employees at least annually.
13. Oversees development of budget for each pharmacy location.
14. Manages an effective budget.
15. Monitors workload statistics.
16. Provides detailed reports relating to financial and operational targets.
17. Provides accurate financial analysis of business.
18. Monitors contract compliance and purchasing habits of individual pharmacies.
19. Recommends resources needed for pharmacy locations.
20. Implements pharmacy quality improvement activities.
21. Maintains customer accounts.
22. Facilitates knowledge sharing between supervisory, pharmacy, and support staffs.
23. Participates in informational and social meetings with pharmacy and corporate members, physicians and customers.
24. Maintains active membership in national, state and local pharmacy organizations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Ability to develop and implement operational plan in alignment with strategic objectives supporting the mission and goals of the organization.
• Ability to maintain current accounts and contribute to significant growth in market share
• Ability to implement staff development plan to meet budget goals and ensure employee competence and satisfaction
• Ability to implement and oversee a program that improves the quality of pharmacy services in alignment with the quality improvement plan of the corporation.
• Ability to establish productive, collaborative relationships within the pharmacy and corporate communities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced computer skillsMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5-10 years of management experience
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Licensure as Registered Pharmacist
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
Board Certified as Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP) encouraged
