Company Overview: Impact Stream () is pioneering the integration of blockchain technology to foster community-led development projects in emerging regions. Starting first in Togo, West Africa, our open-source platform facilitates transparent, accountable engagement between digital and local communities. We enable residents to directly propose, vote, develop, and monitor impactful projects such as water wells, education facilities, medical clinics, and critical infrastructure. Our mission is to empower local communities to shape their development while ensuring complete transparency and efficiency in funding and execution.
Impact Stream is a new NGO with remote workers. A subset of leadership is based in the greater Seattle area (United States) and the greater Lomé area (Togo).
Position Overview: The Executive Director at Impact Stream is the driving force behind our strategic vision and operational excellence, primarily responsible for steering the organization towards its mission of enhancing community-led projects through blockchain technology. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, strategy implementation, and stakeholder engagement. The Executive Director will ensure that team efforts align with our goals of transparency and community empowerment, expanding our impact from Togo to other global communities in need. This role requires a blend of visionary leadership, operational acumen, and a deep commitment to sustainable development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan, aligning with our mission to integrate blockchain technology for community-led development projects.
Oversee all operational aspects of the organization, including project management, financial operations, and staff coordination, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, government entities, and community leaders, to enhance collaboration and support.
Expand our reach by identifying new project opportunities and potential areas for impact, leveraging insights from current projects and trends in technology and development.
Champion transparency and accountability, utilizing blockchain technology to monitor project funding and outcomes, sharing insights and progress with donors and the public.
Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: Advanced degree in Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the non-profit or international development sector, with significant exposure to project management and strategic planning.
Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement and partnership development at the international level.
Deep understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in non-profit or community development contexts.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing diverse teams and fostering an inclusive organizational culture.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and fundraising strategies.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages preferred.
