The OpportunityAvidity is seeking an Executive Director of Payer Strategy and Pricing to join our team. You will be responsible for payer partner relationships and contracting activities for the company. In addition to being responsible for all payer contracting activities, you will be in charge of contracting activities related to self-funded employer/purchaser clients. This role is responsible for the analysis of the financial terms of proposed agreements and negotiating financial and other agreement terms.
What You Will ContributeLead and/or assist in the execution of strategies and the development of programs and tactics to attain strategic objectives associated with targeted payer segments and trade accounts.Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct highly innovative research/analytics to define brand payer strategies.Work with commercial insights colleagues on appropriate pricing strategies.Coordinate and/or assist in planning and development of reimbursement content for key payer, channel, trade accounts, and other external customers.Coordinate and manage key vendors to ensure project success.Identify and assess metrics to ensure successful implementation and operation.Present payer issues, opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholder leadership teams.Develop and implement a compelling value story to payers by collaborating with cross-functional colleagues including brand teams, market access leadership, pricing and contracting.Inform pricing and contracting evaluations and decisions.Identify and address product barriers to payer access and performance by applying advanced understanding of, and experience with, pricing strategies and payer analytics.Contribute to the financial forecasting process in support of regular operational and strategic business reviews.Develop and administer budgets, resource plans, and performance objectives for the team.Proactively identifies account pull-through opportunities, develops messages and operationalizes initiatives that optimize brand profitability.Active contributor to forecasting/planning process to ensure sound and aligned assumptions.What We Seek18+ years of experience working in the pharma/biotech field, with 3+ years of experience in Market Access within Payer Marketing required.10+ years in a management or leadership role.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.Previous Account management, patient reimbursement services, or contract operations strongly preferred.Proven track record in pharmaceutical marketing, reimbursement, trade, payer, HUB services and/or sales with relevant experience.Strong analytical skills, project planning, and organizational skills required.Ability to proactively analyze business problems, identify key issues, develop solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact.Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results.Strong communication, leadership, and ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, alignment, and ensure outstanding execution.Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues.Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors, marketing partners and agency partners.What We Will Provide To YouThe base salary range for this role is $293,600 - $324,500. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
