The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive external relations strategy that is in line with the company's mission to advance equity and social justice.
This role involves serving as a key thought partner to the CEO, designing and establishing a resource development and donor engagement program, and fostering relationships with community leaders and public officials.
The EVP will also be tasked with ensuring that the company's external relations efforts are collaborative, responsive, and effectively address both opportunities and concerns.
Applicants for the EVP position at the company should have at least 7 years of related executive leadership experience and a proven track record in senior fundraising roles.
The role requires superior strategic skills, the ability to work harmoniously with diverse stakeholders, and a deep appreciation for the company's history and mission.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic communications, experience in healthcare and/or LGBTQIA+ serving organizations, and a demonstrated capacity to build and promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace environment.
A collaborative and collegial orientation, superlative interpersonal skills, and a results-oriented, tenacious approach are essential.
The EVP will also be expected to have the ability to anticipate challenges, develop proactive approaches, and effectively engage senior leadership, staff, and other key stakeholders.
