About High Tech High Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High opened in September
2000 as a small public charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students. HTH has evolved
into an integrated network of sixteen charter schools serving approximately 6,350 students in grades
K-12 across four campuses.

Job Function/Description
A dynamic and experienced individual is necessary for the role of Expanded Learning Instructor for our
school break programming. The Expanded Learning Instructor is responsible for planning, designing, and
leading instruction, with a focus on maintaining appropriate ratios for both academic and enrichment
activities. This position requires a strong educational background, creativity, and organizational skills to
ensure a well-rounded and engaging experience for students during school break programming.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) Curriculum Planning and Design ? Develop comprehensive and engaging academic and enrichment curricula aligned with educational
standards.
? Ensure a balanced mix of subjects and activities suitable for various age groups and skill levels.
? Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
Instructional Leadership:
? Lead instructional sessions, providing guidance and support to both students and staff.
? Maintain appropriate instructor-to-student ratios to ensure a safe and effective learning
environment.
? Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages active participation and exploration.
Communication and Collaboration: ? Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on program activities and
participant progress.
? Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and community partners to enhance the overall
program.
Knowledge and Qualifications ? Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
? Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining appropriate instructor-to-student ratios.
Education and Experience
? A minimum of 2 years experience in teaching or academic coaching preferred.
Clearances TB Clearance and Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

? At various HTH charter school locations in San Marcos, Point Loma, Clairemont, Chula Vista in San
Diego, California.
