Morgan Stanley seeks motivated and energetic peopleto join the Expense Team as an associate. The Expense Associate will work closely and professionally with all levels of field management to ensure expense activity has been appropriately reviewed and approved using various internal systems. The Expense Associate will report directly to the Regional Expense Manager. The Expense Associate will interact with the field and internal personnel to resolve issues encountered during the expense review and approval process. Associates are responsible for understanding Firm policies and procedures to allow them to review expense activity accurately and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and approve expense reimbursement requests
Ability to work in a que and process a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment
Ensure all expense requests are handled in a timely and accurate manner; if there are any issues, resolve / escalate on a case-by-case basis
Provide world-class customer service to both field facing and internal counterparts in all interactions
Research and resolve problems and deficiencies in a timely manner
Apply Firm policies and procedures on expense review and approval activity
Proactively participate in available training and education programs to maintain current status on policies, procedures and risk awareness
Provide feedback and suggestions on ways to improve processes that are in place
Apply critical thinking when making decisions on items to evaluate risk and client experience
Other duties and responsibilities as needed
1+ years of industry and/or contact center experience a plus and the desire to be part of the financial service industry
Applicable experience or familiarity with expense reports preferred (Willing to train the right person)
College degree preferred but not required
Bi-Lingual (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent judgement
Exceptional organization and follow-up skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to research and resolve problems and service inquiries and escalate issues where appropriate
Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
