Job Summary
Under limited supervision this position assembles parts or units, aligns and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies or frames using hand tools and power tools.
Essential Job Functions Proficient in assembly of windshields, doors, sub-assemblies and accessories to set parts per hourPromotes "safety first" mindset across production floor and ensures staff are following safety procedures/guidelinesLead by example and in alignment with company core beliefs and valuesFoster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability and service to our team and communityVerifies stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners per the job travelerPerforms necessary quality checks on product prior to assembly and reports issues to line leadConfirms proper functionality of power/hand tools prior to usePacks finished product into designated cartonIdentifies assembly and packing problems, reports problems to line lead for assistanceAbility to safely use multiple hand tools, including but not limited to, drills, hammers, staplers, etc.Assists with the maintenance of tools and equipment used for manufacturing productUtilizes design documentation and verbal or written instructions to assemble, rework or reassemble unitsTrains new employees and temporary staff as neededMay assist with line lead duties to set up work stations, complete daily documentation, enter numbers into Epicor system and lead daily operations of line/cellMay assist in machine operating (CNC, VAC, Drape, Screen Print) as neededMaintains a clean work area and always demonstrates safety awarenessMay perform material handling duties (movement of material and finished goods from warehouse to production) as needed
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent preferred1 - 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/assembly environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask is essentialProficient in use of Epicor systemKnowledgeable in the use of basic computer programsAbility to fulfill essential dutiesAbility to safely perform work in varying work conditionsAbility to understand and follow directions using the English languageMay require forklift certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basisAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull on a continuous and repetitive basisAbility to stand for up to 12 hoursExcellent hand/eye coordinationDemonstrated ability to effectively use power toolsGood manual dexterity, coordination, and staminaAbility to consistently wear personal protective equipmentAbility to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
