Experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

We're seeking a passionate and energetic Housekeeping Supervisor to join Hyatt Place DC National Mall and ensure that our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay.
Ideally located for business and pleasure, the Hyatt Place Washington D.C./National Mall is a short walk to the District Wharf, the Smithsonian Museums and other attractions including the Museum of the Bible, and historical landmarks in the heart of the city.The hotel's 214 spacious guestrooms feature the plush Hyatt Grand Bed™ and state-of-the-art media and work centers a 42" TV, the Cozy Corner with sofa or sofa-sleeper and spacious bathrooms granite vanities and complimentary amenities.
This role reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Inspire and motivate a team of housekeeping professionals to maintain high standards of cleanliness and excellence.Foster a positive and energetic work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and a can-do attitude.Weekly scheduling of associates as needed.
This is a shared responsibility.Quality AssuranceConduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet or exceed our cleanliness standards.Implement and monitor effective cleaning procedures to guarantee a pristine and inviting atmosphere for our guests.Training and DevelopmentProvide ongoing training to housekeeping staff on best practices, new techniques, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and supportInventory ManagementOversee the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all items are well-maintained and readily available for use.Collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain optimal stock levels and control costs.CommunicationCommunicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.Address guest requests and concerns promptly, maintaining a customer-centric approach.Host daily standups as required with housekeeping team to prioritize projects and work flow for the day. Additional Responsibilities Adhere to all work rules, policies and procedures established by the hotel, including but not limited to those contained in the employee handbook.The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. Qualifications Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality industry preferred.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to energize and motivate a team.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.Physically able to lift, push or pull heavy objects up to 50lb Benefits and Perks
