We're searching for a highly experienced Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3:00pm -11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am).  With benefits starting day one, our programs provide choice and flexibility to meet team members' individual needs. Maintenance Tech II will enjoy competative pay starting at $32.88/hr to $38.68/hr based on skill and experience. Maintenance Tech III will enjoy competative pay starting at  $37.58/hr to $44.22/hr based on skill and experience. You will report to a Facilities Supervisor. Additional responsibilities include: Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software)Basic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors, linear motors, VFDs, encoders, scanners, power distribution, communication systems, computer-controlled building systems, conveyor systems and maintenance management system (CMMS)Be a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross belt system, Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person SystemOperate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution CenterWork at heights and in unusual positionsKnowledge and application of safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards and Arc FlashFollow codes, such as the NEC, BOCA and UBC, MSDS and OSHADesign, implement, and document PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley) programming changes to automated equipment when authorizedTroubleshoot, and implement changes to I/O device networks such as Probus, Data Highway, and CanBus Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems2+ years of experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programsExperience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gaugesExperience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings and schematicsCan frequently lift, push, and slide packages typically weighing 50-75lbs.Successful completion of Maintenance skill evaluation  DEI StatementGrainger is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
