Job duties:
Complete all maintenance procedures and plans to sustain peak efficiency with minimal downtime. Inspect and identify areas of improvement in all preventive maintenance procedures. Repair injection molding machines, automated equipment/robots, fixtures, safety equipment, air compressors, and water chillers. Repair of CNC machinery, lathes, grinders, Bridgeports, or call technician when necessary. Respond to machine breakdowns, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance includes plant utilities, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, painting, drywall, and HVAC. Perform or coordinate outside service when necessary. Assist with programming troubleshooting and installation of all equipment. Assist with the maintenance, programming and qualification of Equipment Control Systems and Process Control Systems. Keep the automated equipment operating in a state that delivers the planned production capacity while delivering the required product quality for the least maintenance cost. Ensure that the documentation, parameters and programs are kept current. Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support for all assigned automated systems potentially at all hours depending upon plant schedule Maintain adequate supply of frequently used parts and supplies. Requisition and restock as needed. Provide information and/or communicate the ordering of parts and equipment from vendors. Monitor and notify the Maintenance/Process Engineer concerning any necessary equipment repairs, safety hazards, damages, or acts of vandalism. Communicate environmental, safety & health hazards to management, and maintain OSHA compliance. Perform safety inspections for all machines, fixtures, and safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc.) Secure and maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, tools, materials, and supplies in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of employees and visitors. Other duties as needed Requirements: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior injection molding experience preferred. Ability to work at fast pace with attention to detail and to understand and carry out routine oral and written directions. Continuous visual sensory demands: near acuity, color vision, and depth perception. Frequent lifting and/or carrying a maximum of up to 50 lbs.
